Lombre and his family are partly inspired by Kappa 河童, little imps living in rivers and lakes. Despite their playful and jovial air, beware of the kappa. The reality is much darker.. They are famous for luring humans into the water and thus drowning them and tearing their skin and limbs.. Happy isn't it?
