Chimecho (furin)

I show you today two Eoko, hung to the entrance of a house front door.
Chimecho is based on the furin 風鈴, or Japanese chime. These small bells hung on the doors or windows of Japanese houses and ring when the wind blows at least a little. Often, on the paper hung under the bell there is a haiku, in other words a short Japanese poem.
We also find the furin in its Japanese name chiriin チリーン which can be translated as small chime, the chi 小 referring also to something small, young..
