Lucario (Anubis)

Continuing my Pokegypt series, i drew Lucario, directly inspired by the famous god Anubis.. The reference is so obvious, even to his name! Indeed, if you did not know it, the name Lucario comes from lupus (wolf, in Latin) and Cairo (the egyptian city).

To quickly introduce Anubis, he is the Egyptian god guardian of the dead and protector of embalmers, with a wolf/jackal head. He protects and watches over the souls who have gone to the afterlife...

Regarding the art itself, I added lots of references, and the hieroglyphs on the walls are full of details! Even the texts written in Unown make sense here (some are in french btw). The Lucario Anubis one is partly inspired by the Lucario Ruins skin in Pokémon Unite. The various hieroglyphs show other Pokémon more or less linked to Egypt.. some of them will be present in other illustrations in the series! I leave you to search and theorize.
