Wanna eat something ? No ? Because Mawile is very hungry. Be careful not to be devoured... If you find that Mawile has Japanese looking in its design, well that's normal, because this Pokémon is inspired by the yokai Futakuchi-onna 二口女 (lit. "woman with two mouths").
The legend says that a man accidentally injured his wife with an axe in the back of the head, while chopping wood. This left an open wound which turned into a mouth, the bones of the skull forming teeth. To soothe this pain, this woman is forced to eat continuously, her hair forming hands to collect food from around. I already told you that yokai stories were creepy, right?
Its Japanese name kuchheat クチート, is a play on words between kuchi 口 (the mouth, found in the yokai's name) and eat. So directly in the logic of the inspiration of the yokai.
